Cricket Match Intelligence uses a statistical AI model trained on format-specific cricket data to forecast match outcomes in real time. Unlike simple run-rate calculators, it factors in multiple layers of match context simultaneously.
Multi-Window Momentum
The model tracks short-term (last 2 overs), medium-term (last 5 overs), and long-term (full innings) run rates simultaneously. This lets it detect momentum shifts — a team accelerating after a quiet patch, or stalling after losing a quick wicket.
Player-Level Intelligence
With 705+ cricketers in the database — men's, women's, and U19 — the engine adjusts projections based on who is batting and bowling. A set batsman (15+ balls faced in T20) is modelled to score progressively faster, while tailenders trigger steeper scoring decay.
Venue & Conditions
Every ground has a pitch profile — flat, spin-friendly, seam-friendly, or sporting. The engine applies venue-specific scoring multipliers across 290+ international venues, plus fielding efficiency adjustments based on the bowling team's catching record.
Phase-Based Scoring Logic
Cricket innings are divided into distinct phases, each with different scoring dynamics. The model applies separate logic for each:
Powerplay High-risk, high-reward overs with fielding restrictions. Historically accounts for 30–35% of T20 totals.
Middle Overs Consolidation or acceleration phase. The engine detects whether a team is building or going for it based on wickets in hand.
Death Overs Final overs where set batsmen and low wicket count trigger an acceleration boost of up to 30% above baseline projection.
Chase Mode Win probability is calculated over the full distribution of projected outcomes, accounting for required run rate pressure.

Example Prediction Scenarios
Men's T20India vs Australia
80/2 after 10 overs at Wankhede Stadium — two set batsmen, 10 overs remaining.
The model projects a realistic range based on the current match state, not a single guaranteed number. In testing, projections typically land within 8–12 runs of the actual T20 total and 15–20 runs in ODIs when entered at the halfway stage. Accuracy improves the further into the innings you are, as there is less remaining variation to model.

Men's T20, Women's T20, Men's ODI, and Women's ODI. Each format uses different phase boundaries, player databases, and scoring models calibrated to the typical scoring patterns of that format.
